Question 1

What is Rekonio?

Accepted Answer

Rekonio is India's marketplace connecting brands and creators. Discover talent, run campaigns, manage deliverables, and pay by milestone — all in one platform.

Question 2

How does the marketplace loop work?

Accepted Answer

Brands post campaigns → creators apply with pitches → brands accept applications → a deal is created → brand funds the deal → creator delivers milestones → funds release to the creator wallet after approval.

Question 3

Is Rekonio free to join?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can create an account and browse campaigns for free. A 10% platform fee applies on completed deals.

Question 4

How do I set up my creator profile?

Accepted Answer

Sign up, choose Creator during onboarding, connect your social accounts, add niches and portfolio work. Verified stats sync from linked YouTube or Instagram accounts.

Question 5

Can I set my own rates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Propose your fee when applying to a campaign. The agreed amount is locked into the deal after acceptance — brands cannot change it without a new agreement.

Question 6

When do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

After the brand approves a milestone deliverable, the payout is released to your Rekonio wallet. You can then withdraw to your bank account or UPI. Unverified creators can make a limited withdrawal once a month; verify your PAN to withdraw without limits.

Question 7

How do I verify my identity (KYC)?

Accepted Answer

Open Dashboard → Verification, enter your name, date of birth and PAN exactly as on your PAN card, and upload one clear photo of the card (or your e-PAN PDF). It takes about 2 minutes, and most reviews finish within 1–2 business days.

Question 8

Do I need Aadhaar or a selfie to verify?

Accepted Answer

No. Rekonio verifies creators with their PAN only. We never ask for your Aadhaar, selfies, video calls or biometrics. Bank details are added separately, only when you want to withdraw.

Question 9

Why does Rekonio need my PAN?

Accepted Answer

Indian tax law requires a PAN to deduct and report TDS on your payouts — without one, TDS is deducted at a higher rate. Verifying also confirms you are a real person, which keeps fake and duplicate accounts out.

Question 10

How do I find the right creators?

Accepted Answer

Browse creator profiles, filter by niche, platform and follower range, and review linked social stats before you reach out.

Question 11

What campaign types are supported?

Accepted Answer

Sponsored posts, reels, stories, product reviews, and multi-deliverable packages. Define requirements per campaign and track each deliverable through the deal thread.

Question 12

What fees does Rekonio charge?

Accepted Answer

A 10% platform fee is deducted from the agreed deal amount on completion. It is the only platform fee on a deal.

Question 13

How do milestone-based payments protect both sides?

Accepted Answer

A brand funds a deal before work begins, and the payout is released to the creator only when deliverables are approved. If a dispute is filed, release is paused until it is resolved.

Question 14

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

Brands fund deals through Razorpay (UPI, cards and net banking). Creator payouts are sent by bank transfer or UPI, and each transfer is confirmed by our team. All amounts are whole Indian Rupees — no paise.

Question 15

Are there hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No. The 10% platform fee is shown before you commit. Deal amounts, funded balance, and wallet payouts are visible in your dashboard at all times.

Question 16

What happens in a payment dispute?

Accepted Answer

Either party can escalate through the deal thread. The payout stays on hold until Rekonio reviews evidence from both sides. See our dispute policy in Terms of Service for eligibility rules.

Question 17

How is my data protected?

Accepted Answer

All traffic is encrypted with TLS, every database table has row-level security, and payment credentials are never shown to other users. Your PAN is encrypted with AES-256 before it is stored, and your PAN card image sits in a private bucket that only our compliance team can open — every view is logged.

Question 18

Who can see my PAN and PAN card?

Accepted Answer

Only authorised members of our compliance team. Brands and other users see just the Verified badge — never your PAN, date of birth, legal name or documents. We never sell identity data.

Question 19

How long do you keep my PAN card image?

Accepted Answer

We delete it automatically 30 days after we review it. We keep your masked PAN and verification status, and — only if you have been paid — your encrypted PAN for as long as tax law requires.

Question 20

Can I delete my verification data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On Dashboard → Verification choose “Withdraw consent and delete my verification data”. Your PAN card image and date of birth are deleted immediately and the Verified badge is removed.

Question 21

What are my privacy rights?

Accepted Answer

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can access a summary of your data, correct or erase it, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer at dpo@rekonio.com. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Question 22

Can I control what others see?

Accepted Answer

Your public profile shows only what you choose to publish. Deal threads and payment details are visible only to deal participants. You can request account deletion in Settings; our team reviews each request before anything is deleted. Email dpo@rekonio.com for a copy or summary of your data.

Question 23

How do I contact support?

Accepted Answer

Email support@rekonio.com or use the Help Center. We aim to reply within one business day for standard queries, and we prioritise payment and dispute tickets.

Question 24

Do you help new users get started?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our Docs section covers profile setup, campaign creation, and the deal lifecycle. For hands-on help, email us with your account type (brand or creator) and we'll guide you through onboarding.
